Caballos de los Cristiani was started in 1986 by Tina Cristiani Veder and is an equestrian enterprise
with farms located in Gansevoort, NY and Ocala, FL. The breeding, training, promotion, and sale of fine
Andalusian and Lusitano horses are the main focus of the company.
In 1996 Bruno Gonzalez, a talented trainer from Spain, joined as a partner in the company and established the training program which has grown into a nationally recognized curriculum for the improvement and training of Iberian horses and their riders. Breeders and owners from across the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Brazil have enrolled horses in the program to be developed and trained, many with a goal toward marketing them.
Over the years
the horses of Caballos de los Cristiani have been featured at numerous events across the country such as
the Queen Catherine Gala at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York City, Equitana USA in Lexington, KY,
the Kentucky Derby Parade and Race at Churchill Downs, the NY All Breed Expo at Saratoga, NY, The Equine
Affair at Springfield, MA, The International Andalusian and Lusitano Horse Association National Horse Show
at Ft. Worth, TX, and The Symphony of the Horse at the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL to name
but a few. They have also appeared in movies such as First Knight.
The breeding program has produced numerous Regional and National Champions both in halter and performance, with Millenia TCV, a mare bred by Tina, becoming the 2006 Grand National Champion Senior Mare, and the number one Andalusian mare in the United States. The most recent champion is Tejo VO, one of the Lusitano breeding stallions at the farm who in August of 2008 was named the Reserve Champion Senior Stallion at the Eastern Regional Andalusian and Lusitano Horse Show held in Virginia.
Caballos de los Cristiani has both imported and exported a number of top quality
horses across the world. Two of the stallions from their training and sales program were exported to Australia
to become the foundation sires for the Lusitano breed in that country.
